Nonprofit Website Redesign
A nonprofit site needs to explain the mission quickly, make giving and volunteering easy, and stay maintainable as staff and volunteers change. We build fast, accessible custom sites with low running costs and no plugin upkeep.
What we focus on
- The mission in the first screen, and a page for each program, with who it serves and how to take part.
- Donations through the processor you already use, such as Stripe, PayPal, Givebutter, or Donorbox, with as few steps as possible.
- Events, classes, and volunteer sign-ups, connected to the tools your team already works in.
- Media archives: talks, sermons, recordings, and newsletters organized and searchable.
- Accessibility checked against WCAG 2.2 AA, for supporters of every age and ability.
- Editing that survives turnover, so the next staff member or volunteer can update the site without inheriting a plugin stack.
Running costs
Most nonprofit sites can be hosted within Cloudflare's free tier. The ongoing cost is usually the domain and your donation processor's fees, with no plugin licenses or maintenance plan.
Google Ad Grants
Google Ad Grants gives eligible nonprofits free search advertising, and its website policy requires a site on a domain you own, served over HTTPS, with substantial, clear information about your mission. A rebuilt site that meets those requirements and loads fast is also the site the grant traffic lands on.
Experience
We have moved long-running community sites off WordPress, including a teaching community’s archive of more than 600 recorded talks and meditations. The old addresses redirect, staff publish new recordings through a simple editor, and the site runs in the organization’s own hosting account for a few dollars a month at most. See our work.
Frequently asked questions
- How do you price nonprofit projects?
- Per project or hourly, scoped to your budget, and new organizations can start with a free pilot. Running costs stay low by design: most nonprofit sites need no paid hosting. See pricing.
- Can volunteers update the site?
- Yes. Content that changes often, such as events, news, and recordings, gets a simple editor with sign-in for the people who need it.
- What happens to our donation history?
- It stays in your donation processor. The site only links to or embeds the processor, so donor records and receipts are unaffected by the redesign.
- Who owns the site?
- Your organization. Hosting and domain are in accounts in your name, and the custom code is yours once it is paid for, so the site does not depend on one volunteer or vendor.
