Pricing
We price per project when the scope is clear and hourly when it is not. New clients can start with a small pilot project at no cost, so you can judge the work before paying for anything.
Free pilot project
New clients can start with a small, real piece of the project at no cost: the home page of a redesign, a sample of pages moved in a migration, one working screen of an internal tool, or one workflow automated. You see how we work and what you get before paying anything. If it is not a fit, you owe nothing.
Per-project pricing
For well-defined work, such as a site with a known set of pages or a migration with a known inventory, we quote a fixed price after a scoping call. The quote lists exactly what is included: design, content, migration, redirects, and launch.
Hourly
For open-ended work, such as custom software that evolves as your team uses it, ongoing changes, or exploratory projects, we bill hourly against an estimate and keep you updated as the work goes.
Running costs
Hosting, domains, and third-party services sit in your own accounts and are billed to you directly by the providers. Most static sites fit within Cloudflare's free tier; apps with a database typically cost a few dollars a month to host.
What affects the price
- The number of page types or screens, not the number of pages.
- Custom features and integrations with other systems.
- How much content needs to be written, edited, or migrated.
- Design depth, from a clean system to custom illustration and motion.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the pilot project really free?
- Yes. We agree on a small, specific piece of work during the first call and deliver it at no cost. There is no obligation to continue.
- What can a pilot include?
- Something real and small enough to finish quickly: a home page design and build, a sample migration with redirects, one working screen of an internal tool, or one automated workflow.
- Do you take small projects?
- Yes. Fixes, single pages, and small tools are welcome, usually billed hourly.
- Who owns the work?
- You do. Hosting, domain, and data are in accounts in your name, and the custom code is yours once it is paid for, with a permanent license to any shared components it uses.
