AI Consulting

We help businesses work out where AI is worth using, then build it. An engagement ends with working software or a clear decision, not a slide deck: a review of your workflows, a ranked list of opportunities with effort and payoff, and a pilot of the best one.

What an engagement covers

  1. Workflow review. Short conversations with the people doing the work, and a look at the tools and data involved.
  2. Opportunity list. Each candidate ranked by time saved, risk, and effort to build, including the ones not worth doing.
  3. Pilot. The strongest candidate built and running on real work, with the result measured.
  4. Plan. What to build next, what to buy instead of build, and what it will cost to run.

What we advise on

  • Buy or build. When a business plan for an existing assistant such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot covers the need, and when custom work pays for itself.
  • Data and privacy. What can be sent to a model provider, which retention and training settings to use, and who should have access.
  • Cost. Model usage per task, and how to keep it predictable as volume grows.
  • Adoption. Simple training and documentation, so the people who are meant to use a tool actually do.

From advice to working software

Most AI consulting stops at recommendations. Because we also build, the plan comes with a working pilot, and anything you decide to pursue can be built by the same people who scoped it: AI and workflow automation, or custom software where it needs its own interface.

An honest scope

Much useful AI work needs no custom software at all. If an off-the-shelf product does the job, we will say so and help you set it up well.

Frequently asked questions

Do you only recommend things you build?
No. The opportunity list includes off-the-shelf options, and recommending one is a common outcome.
Do we need technical staff to work with you?
No. We need time with the people who do the work and access to the tools involved; we handle the technical side.
What does AI consulting cost?
We quote a review and plan per project or hourly, and new clients can start with a free pilot. See pricing.
